Nostalgic Christmas Window

Hi, friends!

Our new challenge has just started today at Stamps and Stencils

Toni is hostessing the challenge this month and she has chosen the theme 'Christmas Wishes'.

Here is how she describes her challenge theme:

Ahhhh! Christmas, like it or lump it, it rolls around every year and seems to arrive faster than ever. If you celebrate Christmas, it's likely that you'll be making cards, gift tags, decorations or even creating your own wrapping paper. My Christmas Wish is to see some of the creative things you make, in order to spread a little seasonal love to your families and friends. My only request is that you include some stamping or stenciling or even both!

I was inspired to create a Christmas nostalgic window for this wonderful challenge theme.

As always you need to include stamping or stenciling.

Friendship art journal page

Hello, friends!
I hope you are all doing fine!
It's time for our new challenge at Anything But Cute mixed media challenge blog and I am hostessing the challenge this month. I have chosen the theme 'Friendship'.

I believe that friendship is one of the most important things in our life and that everyone needs a good friend to count on. We all have at least one really good friend who we love and cherish. So, this challenge theme is dedicated to our lovely friends.

Dogs are man's best friend. They are simply awesome and do all of the little things that put smiles on our faces. They give you love, support, understanding and most of all they are loyal. I decided to create an art journal page about our pet friends and I used an old book as an art journal for my project.
Here is what I created.

A Tag and a Mini Canvas Magnet for a Friend

Hi, friends!
Just a quick post today to share with you a mixed media tag and a mini canvas magnet I created for my lovely blog friend, a wonderful teamie and a super talented Niki from  Pawsitively Creative, for her birthday.

I wanted to make something vibrant and I decided to make a tag rather than a regular card.
This is what I came up with.

I used my Dylusions paints, my Amsterdam neon paints, some stencils (Dylusions, TCW, Tim Holtz), Dina Wakley stamp, a pice of canvas, my Inktense pencils and some yarn. I also included some sewing. I added a pink pompom trim and a vintage button for some interest.

Since Niki loves stempunk style, I decide to create a mini canvas magnet using some cogs, a pice of a vintage German paper, a vintage music notes sheet and I put some melted bees wax on top.

That's it for today.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving lovely comments! I read and appreciate each and every one of them!

Hi, crafty friends!
I am back again to share with you my project I created for our new challenge at Stamps and Stencils
Our lovely Autumn  has chosen the challenge theme for this month -'Trash To Treasure'.

Here is how she describes her challenge theme:
Don't we all love a good upcycled project?  This month we'd love to see how you take something that you'd normally discard and give it new life in your art.  Whether it's glamorized boxes, Styrofoam turned into a stamp, packaging that's been die cut, or another altered idea you have.  Bring on your best mixed media repurposing!  We can't wait to see what you come up!  Don't forget to use stamps or stencils in your project.

I decided to alter an old spoon I've got from a thrift shop years ago and here is what I came up with:

Altered wood chopping board

Hello, my lovelies!
I hope you are all safe and well!
I love to use corrugated cardboard in my creations, as well as some metal elements (especially with rust or patina effect) and lace. Some times ago, my husband has bought a few small wooden chopping boards and we have never actually used them...until now. I decided to alter one of these since the tag looking shape was just perfect for my idea.
Here is the result:

It's March already and it's time for our new challenge at Stamps and Stencils challenge blog!
Our hostess for this month's challenge is Rachel who has chosen the theme
'Spring is in the Air'!
Here is how she describes her challenge theme:

Vintage art journal page

Hello, my friends!
I hope you are all well and safe!
I was inspired by some vintage laces that I got from my Mom to create a Finnabair style vintage art journal page. I decided to use my old book as an art journal and started to build up my layers.
I used my Liquitex modeling paste mixed with some acrylic paints and my Tim Holtz lace stencil on the previously gessoed background. Then I started to layer my vintage laces, some burlap, handmade fabric flowers, my rose trim, some paper flowers, vintage buttons, beads and some gems.

Paper Art Doll Birthday card

Happy Valentine's, crafty friends!
I hope you are all well and safe!

Another paper art doll but this time not a vintage one. It's a Dylusional gipsy one.
I created this fun card for my lovely blog friend, a super talented artist and a wonderful teamie Sara Emily for her Birthday.
I wanted to create something funny to make her smile :) so I used vibrant colours and created that paper doll using my Dylusions stamps.

Love - art journal page

Hi, friends!
I hope you are all doing well!
I was inspired by amazing Creative Carte Blanche to play with bleeding tissue paper technique, which is new to me. Since I couldn't find that paper here in Croatia, I tried to use my crepe papers instead. I was so happy with the result and here's the art journal page I created using the 'bleeding tissue paper' technique.

I did this page pretty quick, probably in an hour or so. I started with the background using my crepe paper in some vibrant colours, a cup of water and a watercolour flat brush.
When my background was completely dry I started to draw those primitive characters using my Stabilo all pencil in black. I also used my Faber Castell pitt pen (S) in black to draw my letters.
I outlined my drawings and my letters and I applied my watercolours outside those lines. That awesome crepe paper background is visible only inside the outlined images.
I also used my fluorescent oil pastels, my Chinese markers, my Stabilo woody pencils, some bits I created using Dylusions inks, my small heart punch and a Tim's heart thinlits die.
I had a lot of fun creating this!

Thank you for visiting my blog and for leaving all your lovely comments! I read and appreciate each and every one of them!
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs!

I came up with this grungy cardboard Valentine card I created for my husband. Since I used a lot of stuff from my hubby's workshop bench I hope he is going to like it haha!

Stamps And Stencils January challenge

Hello, my crafty friends!
The new challenge starts today at Stamps And Stencils and our hostess Cec has chosen the theme 'Oh So Blue'!

She describes in this way:
This time of year it is easy to start feeling blue now that the festivities surrounding Christmas are over and winter is making its presence known with less sun and more miserable weather so instead of giving in to it let's celebrate blue.  Create a primarily blue mixed media project that includes some stamping and/or stenciling.  You may add one other colour to your creation but it must be mostly blue.

This is my first challenge as a new member of the Stamps And Stencils DT and I am so excited.

I decided to create a mixed media card in vintage style and here is what I came up with:

I created a vintage looking art journal page using some of my new art supplies I've got for Christmas.
Here is the final result :)
