Vintage art journal page

Hello, my friends!
I hope you are all well and safe! 
I was inspired by some vintage laces that I got from my Mom to create a Finnabair style vintage art journal page. I decided to use my old book as an art journal and started to build up my layers.
I used my Liquitex modeling paste mixed with some acrylic paints and my Tim Holtz lace stencil on the previously gessoed background. Then I started to layer my vintage laces, some burlap, handmade fabric flowers, my rose trim, some paper flowers, vintage buttons, beads and some gems.



I love sprays and I used my Dylusions spray inks, my Distress stain sprays, some of my Glimmer mists,  Lindy's stamp gang sprays to achieve the desired look. As a final touch, I used my Inka gold pastes in gold, bronze and blue tones and some Finnabair mica powders. 


I pulled out one of my old tags I made and decided to use only a part of it. I distress the edges using my Vintage photo DI and attached a piece of seam binding previously treated with my distress paints. 


The texture is rich and I like how it turned out.

    Wow Branka, this might be one of my favourites to date! I am just loving all the amazing texture in the background, and the different elements you have included there. Seed beads and buttons and lace, oh my! The metallics are just brilliant, I bet this just shines and shimmers like crazy in real life! What a gorgeous page my friend!!

    AMAZING, Branka! This is no doubt my absolute favorite of yours, with all that vintage rust and gorgeous yummy texture! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! This is a page I'd have open all the time!
