Tic Tac Toe at Stamps and Stencils

Hi, crafty friends!
I am here today to share my new project with you.
Our new challenge has just started at Stamps and Stencils today and our lovely Toni has chosen the theme Tic Tac Toe.
Here is what I created for this challenge.

Now, back to the challenge... Here is how Toni describes her challenge theme:

This month I'm challenging you to have a little mixed media fun, with a game of Tic Tac Toe. Create a project that includes at least three  of the elements from the table below, chosen from either a vertical, horizontal or diagonal line. Remember, to include some stamping or stencilling.

I decided to choose  Flower(s)/Corrugated Cardboar/Lace, but I also added an image, a metal piece and a circle. I enjoyed the process so much in creating this piece that I totally forgot to take some step by step photos... I'll try to explain how I did this.
I started with a piece of a corrugated cardboard as a base, peeled of  some random parts of it and applied a coat of Decoart media black gesso on top. I wanted to achieve a kind of a patina look on those parts so I used my Decoart media fluid acrylic paint in teal and my copper antique paste randomly.
I used my Brushos in brown and blue to the rest of the cardboard which I previously primed with a white gesso.
I stamped the image using my black archival ink and one of my LaBlanche stamps on a piece of an old book paper and cut out a circle shape. I added some bees wax on top of my image. I attached the image onto my cardboard and I added some coffee dyed gauze pieces behind the image.
I cut out the frame using my Sizzix die out of a corrugated catdboard. To achieve a rust effect I used my Decoart black gesso, my Decoart chalky finish paint in brown and I sprinkled some cinnamon here and there on top of my wet paint.

I created a fabric flower using my Tim Holtz's tattered floral die and some fabric. I used some of my Distress spray stains in blue and brown tones to color the fabric. To create that flower I also added a piece of some gray lace, a piece of gauze and a metal rose I had in my stash.

I added a sentiment using the Tim Holtz's small talk stickers.

I like how this piece turned out and I hope that I have inspired you to create your mixed media piece for our Tic Tac Toe challenge at Stamps and Stencils!

I love the way you've aged the corrugated board and the design elements to appear as though they've been hidden away in an attic for decades! The fabric flower is gorgeous as well. That you can go from bright and happy to mysterious grunge is such a gift and makes me love you all the more!!! This piece captures my heart! The rust is fantastic against the blue and your flower are by far the prettiest I've seen! Well done, what a lovely take on our theme. Hugs, Autumn
