Vintage art journal page

Hello, my friends!
I hope you are all well and safe!
I was inspired by some vintage laces that I got from my Mom to create a Finnabair style vintage art journal page. I decided to use my old book as an art journal and started to build up my layers.
I used my Liquitex modeling paste mixed with some acrylic paints and my Tim Holtz lace stencil on the previously gessoed background. Then I started to layer my vintage laces, some burlap, handmade fabric flowers, my rose trim, some paper flowers, vintage buttons, beads and some gems.

Paper Art Doll Birthday card

Happy Valentine's, crafty friends!
I hope you are all well and safe!

Another paper art doll but this time not a vintage one. It's a Dylusional gipsy one.
I created this fun card for my lovely blog friend, a super talented artist and a wonderful teamie Sara Emily for her Birthday.
I wanted to create something funny to make her smile :) so I used vibrant colours and created that paper doll using my Dylusions stamps.

Love - art journal page

Hi, friends!
I hope you are all doing well!
I was inspired by amazing Creative Carte Blanche to play with bleeding tissue paper technique, which is new to me. Since I couldn't find that paper here in Croatia, I tried to use my crepe papers instead. I was so happy with the result and here's the art journal page I created using the 'bleeding tissue paper' technique.

I did this page pretty quick, probably in an hour or so. I started with the background using my crepe paper in some vibrant colours, a cup of water and a watercolour flat brush.
When my background was completely dry I started to draw those primitive characters using my Stabilo all pencil in black. I also used my Faber Castell pitt pen (S) in black to draw my letters.
I outlined my drawings and my letters and I applied my watercolours outside those lines. That awesome crepe paper background is visible only inside the outlined images.
I also used my fluorescent oil pastels, my Chinese markers, my Stabilo woody pencils, some bits I created using Dylusions inks, my small heart punch and a Tim's heart thinlits die.
I had a lot of fun creating this!

Thank you for visiting my blog and for leaving all your lovely comments! I read and appreciate each and every one of them!
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs!

Anything But Cute Mixed Media Challenge Blog - challenge #10

Hello, my friends!
It's time for another challenge at Anything But Cute mixed media challenge blog!
The hostess for this challenge is our lovely and super talented Sara Emily who has chosen the theme 'Grungy Love'!

To celebrate St. Valentine's Day, we would like to see you make a Grungy Valentine's project for your sweetheart!  It can be a card, tag, or anything else you might give a loved one to show them how much you care. Just be sure it's grungy!

I came up with this grungy cardboard Valentine card I created for my husband. Since I used a lot of stuff from my hubby's workshop bench I hope he is going to like it haha!

Hello, my crafty friends!
I am here today to announce that our February challenge has just started at Stamps and Stencils
Our hostess Sue has chosen the theme 'Splatter, Spritz, Smoosh'!
Here is the description:

What can be better that getting messy in your craft room, so for this challenge it's time to get out those sprays, paints and inks and really get messy ! We want to see splattering, spritzing and smooshing! Just remember to include either some stamping or stencilling.

I was inspired to create a tea bag art journal page and here is the final result:
