Country View Challenges - Drips and Drops
Our Creative Corner - Tic Tac Toe Let's have some fun Challenge (Paints, Stamps, Stencils)
Hello! I finished my second art journal page today :) inspired by two new Tim Holtz stamp sets ( Perspective and Watercolor) to make this page. I started with the modeling paste and my reversed chicken wire stencil. Then I covered the page with Tim Holtz tissue paper, put one coat of gesso and painted the whole thing with the acrylics paints in blue tones. I used the Vintage photo and Walnut stain distressed inks on the edges directly from pad and sprayed it with water so that ink can bleed over the whole page. The I used the Archival ink in Sepia over the raised areas (chicken wire stenciled background) to get some accents.
I am sharing this at wonderful Brenda's blog A Visual Journey.

Also, I used the Tim Holtz speckles stamp randomly on the page (Archival ink Coffe).
When I finished with the background I started to embellish the page. I put a piece of cheese cloth which I colored with distress stain and glued down the stamped eggs on top. The eggs are covered with glossy accents. The butterflies are stamped in Dusty concorde distress ink and distressed with Vintage photo distress ink. I used the new Tim Holtz Perspective stamp for a quote. To add a shadow around the butterflies I used Faber Castell Big brush pen in brown tone. To seal everything down I put a coat of Studio matte medium. Over the last word of the quote I attached the twine with the tiny attacher.
This is so artistic! Love the chicken wire accent and staples, gorgeous piece of art Branka!
