Tim Holtz March 2015 Tag

Hello, everyone! This is my take on Tim's March tag :) I had the butterfly stamp and the Typography stencil that Tim used but I decided to use the stamps from his Watercolor stamp set and the Flourish stencil which I love so much. My tag is totaly different from the ORIGINAL one but I used all the techniques  that Tim used on his tag. Instead of using some of my metallics embosing powders I used the baby blue one on the modeling paste. For the layered butterfly I prepared the manila tag and used the same technique for the background as Tim  used for his March tag. Then I cut the butterfly and embossed it randomly with the Vintage photo distress embossing powder. I attached the butterfly with  the tiny attacher. The seam binding was hand dyed with Cracked pistachio distress stain spray and Patina glimmer mist.

Gentlemen Time tag

Hi, there! This masculine tag was made for the wonderful Linda Ledbetter's Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge #24. Entering to this challenge gives you a chance to win a package of goodies from Tim and Mario (woow) or to win a fabulous $25 shopping spree from the great sponsor of this challenge The Funkie Junkie Boutique :)
This challenge is about the Tim's Remnant rub resist technique (Compendium of Curiosities 3, page 51) so I used this technique on the background. I used several distress stains: Old photo, Frayed burlap and Cracked pistachio. The background image was stamped with Archival ink in Sepia (Tim Holtz gears sketch stamp) and I used two stamps for the focal image: Paper Artsy Dapper men mini stamp and Tim Holtz gentlemen stamp from the steampunk stamp set. I stamped the images with black Archival ink on manila cardstock and cut them out to glue them down on the tag. I cut the pocket watch and attached the Tim's monocle on top. For the watch mechanism I used some clock parts from my stash. The pocket watch is connected to the gear with a game spinner by the swivel clasp. I put the industrial border (Tim Holtz) on the bottom and added the Tim Holtz mustache die to the stamped image.

Sleepless night and another journal pages :) This time no sprays, I used only acrylics paints. For the background I used Dyan's block technique and various stencils from Tim Holtz and Dyan Reaveley. On the borders I used one of the Dylusions border stamps and added some white accents. Then I cut some circles and used them as a mask to paint the rest of the pages in black. I added some white accents using one of my stencils and white acrylics paint. I used two alphabet stamp sets to stamp the words - Tim's Worn alphabet stamp set and the Dylusions  alphabet stamp set. Since the background was black, I stamped the words with white permanent ink. The shapes (Tim Holtz dies) are cut from the black cardstock and I added some doodling around the circles.

Art journal page - Live Your Life

Hi, crafty fellows! Another art journal pages today :) I started with black and pink glimmer mists for the background. To add a texture I used Dylusions Diamnond large stencil and then I used Tim's Bubble stencil with white acrylics paint. As a final touch to the background I used Dylusions Basics background stamp (alphabet) with black Archival ink and the dots stamp from the same set for the border. I stamped the woman face image four times on the manila cardstock (Graphic 45 stamp) and colored the images with water soluble wax pastels in four different colors. For the woman "hair" I used the flower stamp from Dylusions Doodle parts stamp set. I used Stabilo markers on the flowers. The quotes are stamped on manila cardstock with black Archival ink (Tim's stamp). I added some doodling through the Dyan's Flower Medley stencil.

BEE Happy card

Hello, everyone! You've probably noticed how much I love Tim's layered dies and this time I used his Layered Bee die again :) I am not a cardmaker but I like to make cards for my friends. I started with manila cardstock and used my reverse chicken wire stencil with Liquitex Light modeling paste to add some texture. I sprayed it with several glimmer mists and color wash sprays from Ranger. Also, I used glimmer mists and Lindy's stamp gang on the die. To add more texture I used the honeycomb stamp from Tim's Classics #12 stamp set on the background.  The Queen Bee stamp is from Graphic45 stamp set (I think it's the Secret Garden set, not sure). The sentiment is stamped with black Archival ink.

Art journal page - Let It Bee

Hi, all! I am back with another journal pages :) It is a sunny day here in Croatia which inspired me to make these pages. Also, I saw the bee outside my window and got an idea for my art journal :)

The backround was sprayed with glimmer mists and with several different distress sprays. I used my reversed chicken wire stencil with the sprays and the Tim's honeycomb stamp with Black Archival ink. The border is stamped with Jane's Doodle stamp and I accented it with my white pen. Also, I used Bo Bunny bee stamp on the background. The Tim Holtz Layered Bee die is sprayed with Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays. I cut the crown using the Tim's Winged heart die and added some white accent. For the quote  I used Tim Holtz Worn alphabet stamp set, Dyan's Alphabet stamp set and Hampton Art Alphabet stamps.

Art journal page - An imperfect person

Hi, everyone! I am inlove with Tim's new stamp sets! Today I played with his Watercolor stamp as well as with some of his old ones. For the border I used Dyan's border stamp and added some white accents here and there. For the background I used some distress spray stains and several Dylusions stencils to add some texture. Also, I used Tim's crackle stamp randomly on the background.

Art journal page - Live your dream

Hi, everyone! Some of my new Dylusions stamps and stencils are here yaaaaaaay! I had to play with them immediately :) It is so fun and relaxing to use them in art journaling. So, I started with spray paints and stencils in several layers. Then I used the border stamps. I painted the leaves with my Spectrum Noir markers in green tones and added some white accents with my white marker. Also, I used the white marker on my bottom border stamp. I stamped the quote using the Dyan's Letters stamp set and added some white accents, too. The butterfly (Tim's classics stamp set) is stamped with black Archival ink on a piece of canvas and then cut and glued down. I painted the body with black marker.
